Chasing Seagulls

Quickly went out for a walk this evening with the dog to let him have a stretch on the beach and run in the sea and the sky was beautiful tonight.

Adventuring in the Wall of Corn

During the summer months I spend a few cold and wet (standard British summer!) days camping in Cornwall. My other half and I camped on the Bodmin moors a short drive from Tintagel. On the days it was sunny we went exploring Tintagel's castle, the supposed location of King Arthur's birth place and lessens of the knights of the round table and drove down to Padstow and sampled some real Cornish delights in the form of Cornish icecream and of course an obligatory pasty.

Our home under the stars for brief few days.

Thailand Adventure continued

One of the things I definitely wanted to do while in Thailand was to go to a Thai cookery school, so on one of the days we booked to go to "Smart Cook".

First off we were taken to a local produce market.

Then we went to the cookery school where it turned out we were the only students so got one on one personal tuition which was awesome. We learnt how to make Thai green curry from scratch

My fav dish in Thailand, pad Thai

Coconut chicken soup

Spring rolls, I personally was rubbish at these but Gary was really good.

...and of course my 2nd favourite thing to eat, mango sticky rice

All in all a delicious and wonderful day.

Thailand Adventure

I recently travelled to Thailand on an adventure to see where the road took me. I booked flights...and that was it. I flew from London Gatwick into Bangkok and spent a day there.

After Bangkok we got a train up to Ayutthaya for 2 days. Ayutthaya was the original ancient capital of Thailand until the Burmese invaded and drove the Thai people south until they regained control years later.

After Ayutthaya we travelled back down to Bangkok and got a sleeper train for 16  hours to Krabi in the south of Thailand. After the train, several coaches , in the back of a pick-up truck and a taxi we finally reached our final destination of Ao Nang.

Yes that's a monkey on the beach!
